Hendre Gefeilliaid Cottage is situated on a working farm approximately two miles from Dolgellau on the A470 in south Snowdonia, mid Wales.

This spacious detached stone cottage, converted from an original 17th century farm building and stables, stands adjacent to the main farmhouse on 65 acres of farmland and grazing.

Children may safely play in the large grass area behind the cottage, and pet rabbits, dogs, chickens and various other farm animals are always happy for attention. Guests visiting during March/April will be invited to help feed new-born spring lambs.

Our guests are welcome to take walks on the farm and the many public footpaths in the locality to absorb the tranquility and breathtaking scenery of this area of National Park. Of note is Torrent Walk, a famous walking trail close to the Cottage which follows a path along Clywedog River, complete with beech woods, waterfalls and caves. Torrent Walk, unlike most country walks, was the work of a designer, Thomas Payne (who also designed the great embankment across the Glaslyn estuary at Porthmadog).
